Arizona Legislative Session Begins Next Week
Next Monday, January 13 will mark the opening of the Arizona legislative session. Governor Ducey will give a State of the State speech to highlight his priorities for the upcoming year.

APMA’s Legislative Committee will be monitoring bills that impact the membership. The first committee meeting will be in late-January after most bills have been introduced. Email APMA to learn more and get involved. Troy Little from Quik Mart Stores will serve as APMA’s Legislative Committee Chair this year.

Top priorities for APMA include:
1. correcting the UST statute inconsistencies with federal rules;
2. tobacco and vapor products statewide standards, licensing and legal age of purchase;
3. monitor WQARF funding (currently anticipated to be funded through general fund/corporate income tax);
4. monitor transportation funding proposals.
