ADEQ Releases TSIP Application Forms; Will Accept Applications Starting February 1

For several months, APMA has been urging the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to launch the final component of the UST Revolving Fund Program, the Tank Site Improvement Program (TSIP).

This program was established under Arizona Revised Statutes ยง 49-1071 (“Grants”) to provide financial assistance to owners, operators and property owners for reimbursement of four types of environmentally beneficial improvements, known as noncorrective actions.

The types of actions, links to the application forms and maximum amount available are as follows:
Type of Action and Maximum Amount Allowed
UST system upgrades – $100,000 per facility
Baseline assessments – $30,000 per facility
Tank removal – $20,000 per tank
Confirmation of a suspected release – $10,000 per event

An applicant may request more than one type of action for the UST facility; however, the total amount
of funding available for the UST facility cannot exceed $100,000.

ADEQ will launch the applications on their website starting February 1, 2018 and will be accepting applications as of that day.
