APMA Scholarship Foundation Sets New Record for Awards with $82,000 in Scholarships for 2020

The Arizona Petroleum Marketers Association is excited to announce that the APMA Scholarship Foundation (“the Foundation”) has made its 2020 scholarship awards to fourteen students worth $82,000 if eligibility requirements are satisfied. Since its formation in 2007, the Foundation has paid out over $400,000 in scholarship awards.

Danielle Mosley, a 12-year employee at Superpumper, was awarded $10,000 and named the Ann Champlin Memorial Scholarship winner, the top honor given out by the Foundation. Ann was the beloved wife of Bill Champlin, APMA’s Vice President Emeritus, who passed away in 2017. Danielle is studying for her Bachelors degree in Justice Studies at Arizona State University with plans to attend law school upon completion.

– German Parra, Circle K Stores, from Nogales, AZ, attending University of Notre Dame
– Albert Rivera, Western States Petroleum, from Chandler, AZ, attending Arizona State University
– Alexandra Tarnopolski, Caljet, from Phoenix, AZ, attending Arizona State University
– Genaro Parra, Circle K Stores, from Nogales, AZ, attending University of Arizona
– Josh Tidwell, Jackson Energy, from Tucson, AZ, attending University of Arizona
– Megan Miller, Circle K Stores, from Gilbert, AZ, attending Arizona State University
– Reilly Cunnington, Circle K Stores, from Phoenix, AZ, attending University of Arizona
– Rylee Rigby, Circle K Stores, from Gilbert, AZ, attending Brigham Young University
– Steven Dumas, Miller Oil Company, from Flagstaff, AZ, attending University of Arizona
– Rylie Schellhardt, PME, from Edmund, OK, attending UMKC School of Medicine
– Taylor Nelson, Bennett Oil Company, from Prescott, AZ, attending Brigham Young University
– Jacob Dobrenz, Senergy Petroleum, from Chandler, AZ, attending Arizona State University

Applicants participated in an application and interview process before being selected for awards varying from $10,000 to $2,000. To maintain their eligibility, awardees must sustain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Scholarships are available for APMA member employees who are working on a degree to advance in their company as well as employees’ dependents, spouses, children or grandchildren who are high school seniors, college undergraduates or graduate students. Any accredited post-secondary program, including trade schools, will qualify.
