The APMA Scholarship Foundation (“the Foundation”) has made its 2019 scholarship awards to twenty-one students worth $80,000 if eligibility requirements are satisfied. Since its formation in 2007, the Foundation has paid out over $350,000 in scholarship awards.
“We received the most applications to date and we are giving out the most scholarship dollars in the history of the Foundation,” said Foundation President Dave Alexander of Caljet. “We are proud to be providing financial assistance to worthy students investing in their futures.”
David Oberan from Mesa, Arizona was awarded $10,000 and named the Ann Champlin Memorial Scholarship winner, the top honor bestowed by the Foundation. Ann was the beloved wife of Bill Champlin, APMA’s Vice President Emeritus, who passed away in 2017. David’s father-in-law works for Denmar Corporation. David is studying manufacturing engineering at Arizona State University.

Applicants participated in a rigorous application and interview process before being selected for awards ranging from $10,000 to $2,000. To maintain their eligibility, awardees must sustain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Scholarships are available for APMA member employees who are working on a degree to advance in their company as well as employees’ dependents who are high school seniors, college undergraduates or graduate students. Any accredited post-secondary program, including trade schools, will qualify.
